Now matter how hurried I would have been, I would have stopped listening to this play until the end, and would have kept asking myself "This guy plays at a world class level. What is he doing here?
After he would have finished his play I would have approached him and ask the obvious question: "You play at a world class level. What Are you doing here?" And all of that without recognizing who he was. The name Joshua Bell was well known to me, his face not at all.
I am not a professional musician, but my ears are well trained to recognize great virtuoso musicians (not only violonists) from more casual musical instruments players.

Another solution would be that not all humans have the same definition of good music. I'm sure that the people that where present in the theather 2 days before wouldn't stop up to hear some celebrity of our time making a disguised live concert (for this example lets take Rap, I'm not a fan of it either, but I guess you can call it music too) in some of the most stressed hours of the day.

Ive seen drummers, violinists, rappers, and story tellers on the streets all expressing their art. Not many stop to appreciate any of it so I don't think its about the type of medium he presented his talent. I understand why no one would stay long to listen if they didn't know the context of the situation but I like the message.

Some time we have to go with the slow time. It will be performing up on the same ways. It will be going up on the advance level.
